A SERIES of complaints have been made about the state of the road on Thomas Street in Cirencester, following repairs made by Gloucestershire County Council.
Cirencester residents complained that the road had been left with one section resurfaced and the stretch leading to Dollar Street seemingly unfinished.
Cabinet member for highways Cllr Vernon Smith said: “The resurfacing of Park Street and Thomas Street in Cirencester is part of our ongoing programme of improvements across the county and the project is due to be completed on Sunday 31st August.
“To minimise disruption, work has been carried out on Sundays but bad weather meant work was unable to take place on consecutive weekends as originally planned. There are signs are in place informing people about the work.”
The closure will be in place from 7.30am to 4.30pm on August 31 with diversions signposted.
