Severe weather warning issued across the Cotswolds as ice and snow forecast for the weekend
A SEVERE weather warning has been issued for the weekend running from Friday to Monday with snow and ice expected across the south west.
Road temperatures are expected to fall below freezing on Friday evening and into Saturday meaning Cotswold roads may be icy if untreated.
As much as 5cm of fresh snowfall is also predicted with a chance of sleet and rain as the weekend goes on.
This wet weather may lead to further icy spells and drivers are being warned to be cautious on the roads.
