POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man did a runner on his meal bill in Crudwell.
The incident occurred at 8.45pm on Saturday, April 30, at the Wheatsheaf pub.
A white male around 20 to 30 years-old reportedly left the pub without making an attempt to pay his bill.
He was described as being six-foot tall with dark brown hair and a dark brown ‘heavy’ beard.
He was thick set with a West Country accent and “very confident in his speech and manner”.
It was believed he was wearing white trainers and scruffy jeans, and has grey paint or very dirty hands, according to descriptions.
Police believed the suspect was local to the Crudwell / Kemble area.
They are appealing to any members of the public who may have any information regarding the suspect, to contact the Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 54160038116.
