TETBURY retirees and their families enjoyed the opening of the garden of a retirement development by award-winning gardener Caroline Tatham.
McCarthy and Stone's Lewsey Court development opened with the garden designer and principal of The Cotswold Gardening School cutting the ribbon and sharing her horticultural expertise with residents and guetss.
Visitors enjoyed a lively and informative Q&A session after Caroline shared her secrets on creative and feature planting and gave a hands-on floral demonstration.
Guests had the opportunity to mingle with the well-respected garden designer while they enjoyed afternoon tea in the homeowners' lounge.
Debby Pavitt, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone South West, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many retirees and their families to Lewsey Court for the official opening of our beautifully landscaped gardens.
"Our residents tell us how important the gardens are for relaxation and socialising, so we wanted to celebrate their significance with a special event.
"Having Caroline Tatham in attendance certainly made it an extra-special event for residents and guests alike!”
The official opening of the gardens proved to be the perfect opportunity for potential purchasers to find out more about the new apartments at Lewsey Court.
Lewsey Court has been designed so that homeowners are able to retain their independence in the form of home ownership with care, support and friendship close at hand.
