A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after his leg was run over by a car yesterday evening.
The 21-year-old motorcyclist came off his bike and while he was on the floor, a car drove over his leg and did not stop at the scene.
The accident happened at around 6.10pm yesterday on the A419 in Cirencester, between Tesco and the fire station.
The man was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon with a serious leg injury and the road was closed and reopened at 7.20pm.
Enquiries are being made to trace the vehicle involved. No description of it is available.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 374 of May 5.
