POLLING cards for the European Union referendum are on their way to homes in the Cotswolds.

Over the coming days electors will find details on their doormats for the “vote of generation” on June 23.

Anyone who has not received their cards by tomorrow (May 27) should contact Cotswold District Council, the authority organising the vote locally.

The deadline to register for the vote is June 7. Visit gov.uk/register-to-vote to register or to update your details.

Anyone who wants to find out more about the referendum can join the Standard's EU debate on June 3 at 7.30pm at the Royal Agricultural University. Tickets are just 50p, all of which is donated to charity.

To pick up tickets just pop into the Standard's offices in Dyer Street, Cirencester.
