THE ROYAL Agricultural University (RAU) will be offering its Cirencester Scholarship for the September 2016 entry.

The scholarship aims to help high achieving local students with the cost of higher education.

There are three scholarships available: two for new undergraduate students and one for new postgraduate students.

Each is worth a fee waiver of £3,000 per year – a typical three-year undergraduate student would receive a scholarship worth £9,000.

The Cirencester Scholarship is available to students who live and/or have studied within a 25-mile radius of the university within the past two years, and can demonstrate academic excellence.

It covers all taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including foundation degrees and short courses – such as the one-year Farming course and the Graduate Diploma in Agriculture.

Working in conjunction with Cirencester College, the RAU has launched a new Foundation Degree in Business and Enterprise for September 2016.

Students will explore core business disciplines and be equipped to start and run their own business. Upon completion, they will have the opportunity to progress on to the final year of the BSc (Hons) International Business Management course.

RAU has a strong entrepreneurial focus and actively encourages students to set up their own businesses while at university.
