TWO auctioneers recently visited a care home in Cirencester.

Lindsey and Niall from The Cotswold Auction Company spoke to residents at Hunters Care Centre about their job and some of the strangest items brought into their sale room.

They then helped value and give some information on a few of the residents' own belongings on Wednesday (July 19).

The items on show ranged from one of a kind bronze figurines to vintage toy cars from the Captain Scarlett TV show.

A couple of family members also popped in with some items belonging to their relatives, including some beautiful diamond rings and some incredible pieces of silverware.

Valerie, a resident at Hunters said: “What a wonderful morning we’ve had.

“So many interesting items to see and hear about. It was fascinating!”

Ben Sandall, activities coordinator at Hunters said: “It was great hearing about the history of all the precious belongings on show.

“Our residents always enjoy having guest speakers come in to share their knowledge. Lindsay and Niall were so helpful and everyone had a fantastic time.”
