A NEW local farm shop and cafe hoping to bring locally sourced produce to Royal Wootton Bassett will open for the first time this Easter weekend.
Sustain Farm Shop, which will be located on Freckles Farm in Royal Wootton Bassett, will open its doors for the first time on Saturday, March 30, and manager Will Crapper could not be more excited.
The farm shop and cafe is being launched by Sustain Wiltshire, a 'green business' that prioritises circular waste economy by producing or sourcing high-quality products from local recycled materials.
The company says it strives to reduce its carbon footprint, and this latest business idea is part of its vision to support and develop local businesses and grow a sense of community.
"We hope our Farm Shop will be Wiltshire's premier destination for locally sourced produce. We are committed to sustainability, community, and quality," manager Will said.
"As well as offering a variety of local produce in our shop, our location is also home to our cafe which we hope will be a community hub for people to meet with friends or just grab coffee and get on with some work using our free super fast wifi.
"You can find us along the B4042 towards Brinkworth, take the first turning under the motorway bridge (B4696) then we are the first turning on your left - you should see the sign."
The new farm shop will open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and a complimentary hog roast will be offered from 1pm to celebrate.
As well as regular fresh produce and tasty cafe food, the farm shop will also serve up coffee supplied by Fire & Flow Coffee Roasters in Cirencester.
"Our coffee & tea provider has given our team an awesome training day, making sure we can provide customers a perfect coffee," said a spokesperson for the farm shop.
"We are really proud that Sustain Farm Shop and Cafe will be serving Fire & Flow’s products. We just know that our customers will love it as much as we do!"
Disabled parking and wheelchair access is available at the new site, and cash and card will be accepted.
