A WELL-KNOWN night venue in Cirencester has an exciting addition coming soon.

Seventeen Black in Castle Street is known more for its cocktails and dancing rather than a sing song but on Wednesday, May 1 that is all about to change when the bar and restaurant opens its new karaoke room.

The room will be equipped with an extensive library boasting over 100,000 songs and features a private bar.

General manager James Stone expressed his excitement about the upcoming launch, stating, "Customers will feel like they are stars as we've refurbished our dance room and installed top-of-the-range equipment to complement our nightclub sound and lighting.

"It's perfect for birthdays of all ages, hen and stag parties, family gatherings, friend meetups, and work get-togethers."

Director Dan Lafford said: "Consumer trends are changing.

People don't just want to go out for a drink anymore; they demand an activity to complement it.

"For years, we've received inquiries about karaoke, so we felt that now was the right time to introduce it.

"Plus, in my family, we love a good sing-song!"

Seventeen Black will also host a weekly 'Sing Thursday' event where pro singers and karaoke flops can enjoy the new equipment for free.
