I AM aware that the debate over the appalling public parking facilities in Cirencester is at last receiving some publicity.

My wife and I frequently visit the town to meet friends but on the last few occasions the visits were ruined as there quite simply was nowhere to park.

In future, we may well give Cirencester a miss and focus on Malborough.

Clearly this is a matter which is being ignored by Cotswold District Council (CDC).

They do this at their peril as otherwise the town will ‘die’.

Cirencester is a very special place and we would welcome any support your newspaper can muster to make it quite clear to CDC that their past hopeless record on this very serious matter will no longer be tolerated.
