I AM so disappointed that the Standard has not fought the terrible changes to the Market Place.
Reducing the short-term parking is devastating to the shops in town.
It is also very hard on the elderly and disabled.
I recently broke my foot and saw for myself what a struggle it is to get around town.
We have an ageing population, and It is selfish of the town to remove parking in the centre.
Pedestrianisation is good in theory, but makes shopping in town more difficult and can contribute to anti-social behaviour in the evening.
