MEMBERS of the Cotswold Gymnastics Club boys' squad returned from a regional Floor, Vault and Trampet competition in Bath with a hatful of medals and trophies.

The boys, who all train at Deer Park School, Cirencester, competed against around 100 other boys from clubs throughout Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset.

All members of the Cotswold team performed exceptionally well against tough competition Top of the class was Jack Woodley who landed gold medals in all disciplines which also secured him the overall gold medal in his U11 age group.

Team-mate Flinn Roberts completed a marvellous tumbling one-two for the Cotswold club by lifting the overall silver.

In the large U9s category, Joe Grey performed exceptionally well to collect a bronze medal in both the Floor and Vault, also landing the overall bronze for his age group.

Head boys' coach Matt McCahill said: “We were late entrants into the competition but with only just over a week’s preparation the Cotswold team as usual delivered on the day.”
