RHYS SARSON, who plays for the Cirencester Town U14s team, has been offered a six-week trial with the Bristol City FC Academy.

Rhys has been watched by a number of clubs this season, but Bristol City were the first to make an approach.

Rhys joined Cirencester as an 11-year-old after being released by his home town club side.

At Cirencester he was able to rebuild his confidence and he has since blossomed into a 40-goal-a-season striker.

His coach at Cirencester Town, Arthur Jupp, said: "Rhys is a great example of what can be achieved when turning adversity into an opportunity.

"We will miss our skipper and top goal scorer enormously, but I could not be happier for Rhys and his family, and we wish him well on his exciting new journey.”
