Vale of Pewsey 1 Malmesbury Vics 5
NEW league champions Malmesbury Vics enhanced their status with a win over a hard-working Pewsey side on Thursday night.
A powerful Alan Griffin header gave Malmesbury an early lead at Pewsey with the hosts replying midway through the half from a Mark Field penalty, after Griffin had upended an opponent.
A rare Jake Fortune headed goal, restored the lead for the visitors, just before the interval.
Further goals came from Allan Webb, Jack Ellis and Ed Wilkins (a spectacular effort) to seal victory.
Malmesbury MoM: Jack Ward.
