Dorchester Town 1 Cirencester Town 1
CIRENCESTER TOWN put in another terrific shift away from home to earn a battling point at Dorchester Town, a side they had knocked out of the FA Cup earlier in the season.
Brian Hughes stayed loyal to the team that earned an impressive three points at Chesham on Saturday, while the Magpies were without Jonah Ayunga, who had caused Town problems in three previous clashes this season.
Last week the teenage striker signed a two-year deal with Championship side Brighton.
Town went behind in the 15th minute when Luke Holmes brilliantly controlled a long punt forward before rounding keeper Josh Langley to score.
But they replied in the 26th minute when Mark Pritchett powered home a header direct from a Ross Langworthy corner.
As the rain persisted and the pitch became more gluey in the second half the two sides still managed to produce an entertaining game and Town could have nicked all three points with five minutes remaining when Langworthy’s fierce drive from the edge of the box just cleared the bar.
