ENTRIES are coming in fast for the annual Bourton One-Mile Challenge race, organised by Norm and Ali Lane, which takes place Saturday, July 16 at 6pm.

The race attracts some of the county’s top athletes along with fun runners who simply want the challenge of completing a mile.

The race finishes in the picturesque village centre of Bourton-on-the-Water.

All finishers receive a memento/medal and there are lots of prizes.

The race headquarters can be found at the Victoria Hall in the centre of the village and entries will be taken on the night – if race capacity has not been previously reached.

Please enter early to avoid disappointment. You can enter on the Run Britain website or by entry form, a copy of which can be downloaded by kind permission of Bourton Roadrunners from their web page.

The race starts at 6pm and the start line is a mile from race HQ so please allow enough time to enter and get to the start.

Not only is the race a fun, fast challenge for the runners, but it raises a substantial sum for Gloucestershire Arthritis Trust, a charity which provides so much equipment for those suffering with the debilitating disease of arthritis that affects someone in virtually every family at some time.

Cotswold and Vale (Electrical) and Shackleton & Wintle (Plumbing) are kindly sponsoring this race again.
