Pied Piper Charity Swim/Run
SEVENTEEN members of Cirencester Swimming Club travelled to Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham on July 9 for the annual swim/run event in aid of the Pied Piper children’s charity.
The event turned out to be highly successful for Cirencester, as well as very enjoyable for all participants, with a win in four of the five age groups.
Eight-year old George Pearson led the way by winning the Tristar Start class and further victories were gained by Henry Sheffield (Tristar 1), Archie Sheffield (Tristar 2) and Marcus Grinnell (Tristar 3).
Three Counties Competition
THREE Cirencester Swimming Club members represented their county on Sunday, July 10 at the Three Counties meet against Worcestershire and the hosts Staffordshire.
The Ciren trio were Emma Hatton (15), Alex Cohoon (13) and Joseph Giles (13).
Although Gloucestershire were not victorious on the day all three swimmers achieved personal bests in their events.
