COTSWOLD Cavaliers gained a narrow victory and turned the tables on Reckers from Badsey in Worcestershire in a must-win game during the preliminary rounds of the Gasket Guy British Skittles.

Robert Stinchcombe led the way for the Bibury FC-based team with a total score of 55, backed up by Nik Adams and Steve Turner with 50s.

Overall it was a great team performance from the Cavaliers and a very good match.

The Cavaliers had four stick-ups during the game: Tom Manders 13, Steve Turner and Robert Stinchcombe 14 and Nik Adams 15.

TWO TAPS played the Alley Cats on a Sunday afternoon in a great atmosphere in Coventry.

The Alley Cats recorded a victory without finding their best form; Richard Manders recorded Two Taps' only stick-up of the game.

After a poor fifth leg they were left with too much to do.

Catherine Poole returned to form for the Wags with the highest score of 49.

This drawn result was enough to see Coleford Bowlovers through to the grand finals in Torquay.

COTSWOLD Cavaliers travelled to Gloucester in search of a point to ensure qualification to the grand finals in Torquay.

But they produced a lacklustre performance and were well beaten by the Fabulous Baker Boys.

The result leaves the Cotswold Cavaliers looking at the knockout rounds to progress further.

COTSWOLD Wags played Gills Jokers at Bibury and despite winning they set two low-scoring records for the alley.

A 39-leg is the lowest recorded by any side at Bibury and a total score of 290 is the lowest winning total at the venue.
