LUCY Walmsley was first lady in her maiden half Iron Man event at The New Forest Middle Distance Triathlon.
The Stow Physio and New triathlon Club, North Cotswold Tri and Run athlete showed she was a true Iron Woman at Sandy Balls on Sunday, September 25, finishing in a time of 5:22:08.
The gruelling course is a mixture of swimming, cycling and running.
The two lap swim in Ellingham Water Ski Lake is 1.9km on a very sheltered, clear & clean lake.
The three lap cycling section is 90km on a spectator-friendly course from the Water Ski Lake to the stunning New Forest National Park.
The 21km run takes place mainly off-road & car-free on the well-made forestry gravel tracks across the New Forest.
And despite having a puncture to contend with in the cycling section, Lucy still stormed home to grace the podium.
