GLOUCESTER duo Jonny May and Ben Morgan have been selected in England's 45-man elite player squad as head coach Eddie Jones prepares for the Autumn internationals against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia.
Winger May is still sidelined with a knee injury suffered at Twickenham in December 2015, but is thought to be fit to play by mid-October. Jones has been monitoring May's fitness, and it's believed he could make his international return sooner than anticipated.
Gloucester back-row forward Ben Morgan has also been named to attend the camp, acting as cover for injured Harlequins flanker, Jack Clifford.
"With a number of players missing through injury, it's a good opportunity for others to put their hands up and show us what they're made of," Eddie Jones said.
"I think it's a good situation to be in. Injuries allow us to strengthen the depth of our squad and develop robustness.
"Ideally, by the Rugby World Cup in 2019, we're looking to have three players in every position who are interchangeable."
The final squad for the Old Mutual Wealth Series will be announced on October 26.
