CIRENCESTER TOWN ladies' impressive season continued on Saturday after their last gasp winner.

Facing Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies First at home, Jodie Bailey's late winner was enough to separate the sides and give Cirencester Town the three points.

The victory means Cirencester Town remain top of Division One in the Gloucestershire County Women's Football League, having won eight games out of eight.

The runaway leaders have scored 45 goals this season, conceding only eight, and are six points clear of both Bishops Cleeve Ladies  and Whitchurch Ladies in second and third.

After the game, Cirencester Town Ladies posted on social media:  "What a win.

"A massive win against a very good side.

"Both teams left it all out there today - the last minute winner from Jodie Bailey keeps the unbeaten run going.

"The player of the match was our solid centre back Anna Margetts who has been in fantastic form. "

Cirencester Town Ladies next play on Sunday, January 14 at home in the Corinium Stadium against 3rd place Whitchurch Ladies 1st, with Cirencester winning the reverse fixture 5-1 just before Christmas.

Kick-off is at 2pm.
